A port-linked warehouse and transport company brought three standards under one management system.
Ağaçlı Logistics' customers were asking for certificates on service quality, worker safety and environmental performance. Instead of building three separate systems an integrated approach was adopted.
Approach
- A shared process map for order intake, storage, loading, transport and delivery processes
- OHS controls specific to forklift, stacking and cold-chain risks
- Fuel, emission and waste-oil management for the vehicle fleet
- A single record system for customer complaint and damage management
- One internal audit programme and one management review meeting
Result
The three certificates were obtained in a single audit; thanks to the combined audit about 25 per cent was saved on the certification fee. Complaint closure time fell from 11 days to 4.
